We promote hope and empowerment to persons and families touched by mental illness, substance abuse, HIV and multiple occurring diagnoses, and their related challenges. The Dispensing Nurse is responsible for creating a welcoming and healing environment by providing quality, sufficient and appropriate clinical services and maintaining high professional standards. As a Dispensing Nurse with BCCS, you will: Are primarily involved in dispensing methadone, a medication long known for its effectiveness in treating opiate addiction. Assists with Intake process Participates in treatment planning meetings. Follows-up on all medical referrals and records actions Facilitates detox entry with proper referral Qualifications for this position are: Currently a licensed registered (RN) or practical nurse (LPN) in the state of Delaware Requirements Schedule: Monday and Friday: 5:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Two Saturdays per month: 5:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Additional hours may be available daily during dispensing times at both the Milford and Georgetown sites, from 5:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., if the candidate is interested. Pay: LPN: Starting at $30/hour RN: Starting at $40/hour

Responsibilities

The Dispensing Nurse is responsible for dispensing methadone and assisting with the patient intake process. They also participate in treatment planning meetings and manage medical referrals and documentation.
