We promote hope and empowerment to persons and families touched by mental illness, substance abuse, HIV and multiple occurring diagnoses, and their related challenges. The Dispensing Nurse is responsible for creating a welcoming and healing environment by providing quality, sufficient and appropriate clinical services and maintaining high professional standards. As a Dispensing Nurse with BCCS, you will: Are primarily involved in dispensing methadone, a medication long known for its effectiveness in treating opiate addiction. Assists with Intake process Participates in treatment planning meetings. Follows-up on all medical referrals and records actions Facilitates detox entry with proper referral Requirements Qualifications for this position are: Currently licensed registered (RN) or practical nurse (LPN) in the state of Delaware. Schedule: Minimal Requirement: 2 Saturdays per month from 5:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. Additional hours are available every day during dispensing time at both Milford and Georgetown sites, if the candidate is interested from 5:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Pay: LPN: Starting at $30/hour. RN: Starting at $40/hour.

Responsibilities

The Dispensing Nurse is responsible for dispensing methadone and assisting with the intake process. They also participate in treatment planning meetings and follow up on medical referrals.
