A respected law firm, held in high esteem and acknowledged in the Legal 500, is presently in search of an adept Legal Secretary to become part of their expanding Dispute Resolution Team located at their esteemed Torquay office.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Provide administrative and secretarial assistance.
- Ensure lawyers can dedicate time to legal matters while maintaining excellent client service.
- Offer opportunities to undertake supervised junior-level fee earning tasks.
- Transcribe digital dictations for comprehensive typing services.
- Manage file opening and invoicing procedures.
- Handle correspondence via phone, mail, fax, and email.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word and other relevant software.
- Manage schedules and arrange appointments.
- Draft and prepare necessary documents.
- Promptly address client queries and concerns.
- Assist in conducting research.
- Support Fee Earners with caseload and take on supervised junior-level fee earning tasks.
- Perform filing duties and general clerical tasks.
We’re looking for someone with strong IT skills and excellent typing abilities, demonstrating exceptional organizational and administrative capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and effective communication skills, including a professional phone manner. They should naturally collaborate well, capable of independent work and thriving in a dynamic, innovative work culture. Previous experience as a legal secretary, especially in dispute resolution, is highly valued.
