The Disputes Analyst will work directly with businesses to respond to and prevent credit card disputes (chargebacks), and will report to the Risk Department Manager. Basically, Select Bankcard helps businesses process payments, including credit cards, debit cards, ACH, and gift cards. From start to finish, we do everything to facilitate our merchant’s payment processing capabilities, from processing their applications, to setting up their account, to supplying them with equipment to process transactions. We perform account changes, troubleshoot product issues, maintain risk, and handle disputes. We provide innovative systems and technologies while utilizing cutting-edge business practices and strategies to simplify and improve the lives of our customers. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The Disputes Analyst position offers an annual salary of $45,000. We also get together for several company-paid events per year. THE JOB The position works directly with businesses to respond to and prevent credit card disputes (chargebacks). The Disputes Analyst will maintain business relationships with merchants by providing prompt, accurate, and friendly service. The schedule for this role is 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (including an hour lunch), Monday through Friday, and includes answering incoming calls and occasionally placing outbound calls. You will receive training on each aspect of these responsibilities: Record dispute case responses sent in by merchants Work and review dispute cases submitted by merchants Ensure proper delivery of dispute notifications Submit proper paperwork to card brand portals Handle dispute related phone calls and emails Email and upload dispute notifications Evaluate merchant dispute responses and create recommendations Submit responses to dispute cases within acceptable timeframes WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Strong attention to detail Analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong customer service skills 1-year Merchant Services experience preferred Background in Technical Writing preferred Disputes experience a plus Willing to commute to Lehi, UT daily
