We have a fantastic opportunity to join Sovereign Network Group as a disrepair admin officer within our Property Services – London and Herts Team on a permanent basis.. You’ll be based from our office in either Wembley – London or Hertfordshire. This role will combine office and home working to ensure a positive work/life balance.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
THE ROLE
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive disrepair admin officer who will be responsible for the administrational management of live Legal Disrepair cases, as well as Environmental Health cases or those considered to be of a more complex nature. Assisting with the management of the contracts to successfully deliver high quality VFM services to the organisation’s residents and drive through service improvement measures identified in root cause analysis of the service failures being managed.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Ensure all actions comply with relevant housing legislation, including the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018, and Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Disrepair Cases. Support compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards (e.g. Regulator of Social Housing).
Act as the key point of contact between legal teams, surveyors, repairs operatives, external solicitors, and residents. Coordinate with internal departments such as Neighbourhood, Legal Services and Customer Services.
Making payments using our internal invoice system to contractors, surveyors and external legal representatives in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain professional and empathetic communication with residents throughout the disrepair process. Provide clear updates, manage expectations, and handle complaints effectively.
Overseeing the internal disrepair inbox, responding to emails and organising the management of diaries
Work with the Disrepair Officers to schedule and monitor repair works within agreed timescales. Track completion of works to ensure satisfaction of legal obligations and settlement terms.
