Description
Performance Health is seeking a Distribution Center Manager to start up our new site in Salt Lake City. The Distribution Center Manager has full site responsibility for our highly automated distribution center, accountable for safety, service, quality, cost, and people. This role leads end-to-end DC operations, including inbound, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, value-add, and returns. Partners across Maintenance/Engineering, IT, Safety, Finance, and HR to ensure material-handling systems operate efficiently. Drives labor strategy, KPI performance, continuous improvement, and a high-performance culture.    Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities * Own day-to-day DC performance and long-range operational planning * Maximize throughput and uptime of automated systems * Monitor and course-correct key KPIs: UPH/LPH, on-time ship %, cycle time, dock-to-stock, accuracy, cost per unit * Lead supervisors/managers and 100–300+ hourly associates; oversee staffing, training, development, and performance * Champion safety programs; ensure OSHA compliance and incident reduction * Improve quality and reduce defects/mis-ships through structured problem-solving * Manage budgets, labor spending, and operational cost controls * Lead Lean/Kaizen initiatives to reduce waste and optimize layout, flow, and standard work * Plan seasonal/peak capacity, shift structures, and contingency plans * Coordinate with Supply Chain, Transportation, Finance, IT, and Customer Service to support operational goals * Present site performance and risks in weekly/monthly business reviews * Maintain SOPs, training matrices, audit readiness, and business continuity plans * Performs other duties as assigned   Job Qualifications  * Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent experience and education * 7+ years of distribution/fulfillment operations experience, including 3+ years leading large teams in automated environments * Experience with WMS/WES/WCS systems and engineered labor standards * Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills * Demonstrated success owning site-level KPIs and leading leaders * Ability to travel 10-25% of the time, including overnight travel   Benefits * Our benefits include healthcare; insurance benefits; retirement programs; paid time off plans; family and parenting leaves; wellness programs; discount purchase programs. * This is a full-time position with a competitive base salary and the opportunity to earn bonus, plus benefits.   To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.   The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.   Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
