DSG is seeking a Distribution Center Operations Manager in our Butte, MT location. As a DC Operations Manager, you will be a key contributor to areas of regional DC operations that impact service and responsiveness to our customers, suppliers, branches, and employee owners. This position will collaborate with the Regional Operations Manager and region branches to lead and help manage all logistic activities within the Region and supported branches, by leading the Warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate transfers to all branches. A Typical Day in the Life of a Distribution Center Operations Manager at DSG: * Lead, coordinate, and oversee the transfer and delivery of transfers between warehouse locations across our region. * Work closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure optimal processes and best practices are implemented within the distribution center and region for overall effectiveness and efficiencies. * Field and respond to all incoming communication from branches regarding transfers. * Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all transfers. * Coordinate and oversee all receiving practices while ensuring timely resolution of all material discrepancies. * Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the team to ensure appropriate stock levels. * Plan and optimize transportation routes to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products. * Track and report on shipment status, addressing any delays or discrepancies. * Manage warehouse staff and drivers to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment. * Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock records. * Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. * Implement inventory management best practices to minimize losses and improve accuracy. * Monitor and manage inventory performance; work with branch and regional leadership to ensure inventory is controlled and meeting goals. * Promote and maintain branch operational excellence through Eclipse (ERP) system review and support. * Work within the warehouse and branch as needed to ensure any and all customer needs are met. * Identify and recommend process improvement initiatives. * All other duties as assigned. A Successful Distribution Center Operations Manager Typically Has: * Work experience in distribution, the industry, and/or a related field. * Strong background in warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management, with a focus on optimizing processes and improving operational efficiency. * High school diploma, college degree in related field preferred. * Ability to plan, analyze, prioritize, and organize work effectively and to work effectively under pressure and time deadlines. * Strong general computer skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools. * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. * Interpersonal communication skills necessary to lead others and deal effectively with a diverse group of external customers and vendors, as well as internal contacts at all levels of the company. Responsibilities

Manage warehouse staff and drivers while optimizing transportation routes and maintaining accurate inventory records through audits and ERP system support.
