POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Supervisor to lead a team of non-unionized employees in a fast-paced Parts Distribution Center. The Supervisor ensures accurate and timely shipments to customers, drives performance excellence, and motivates employees through effective communication, coaching, development, and recognition. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant supervisory or warehouse leadership experience required; 5 years preferred.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with a comprehensive understanding of metrics.
  • Experience in inventory management and process improvement.
  • Ability to lead and engage a diverse workforce, from entry-level employees to seasoned professionals.
  • Proactive, communicative, and collaborative leadership style.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve operational targets and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support day-to-day departmental functions to achieve customer shipment accuracy and timeliness.
  • Lead problem-solving activities within general standards and practices, with guidance from the General Supervisor when needed.
  • Ensure processes are executed effectively and consistently, using standardized methods.
  • Motivate and develop employees through training, coaching, recognition, and performance management.
  • Foster a strong safety culture by implementing and enforcing workplace safety rules and policies.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement using tools such as layered audits.
  • Achieve key performance indicators (Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost).
  • Apply lean principles and standardized work practices.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, business partners, and leadership to maintain strong working relationships.
  • Track metrics, analyze data, and implement countermeasures to address performance gaps.
  • Ensure quality standards are met by communicating goals and leveraging resources to solve problems.
  • Perform administrative duties such as timekeeping, recordkeeping, and reporting.
  • Support dispatching activities, ensuring orders are entered into carrier systems on time.
  • Train, evaluate, and develop team members to achieve performance objectives.
  • Stay informed on distribution center performance reports and operational costs.
  • Maintain adherence to company policies and promote cultural behaviors with integrity.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
