Business Title: Distribution Center Team Lead                               Schedule: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.                                                                             Location: Charlotte, NC                                                                       Sub-Function Description:  Coordinates logistics operations, both inbound and outbound, including inventory control, storage, and transportation, to ensure a sufficient supply of goods and products. Controls the commercial impact of the full range of activities that are carried out, from the receipt, location, and delivery of products to the optimization of distribution operations. Manages people processes and systems to meet the needs of the organization and our customers. Meet or exceed service level metrics while driving continuous improvement.   Organizational Impact: Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with moderate impact within the area. Work consists of tasks that are typically routine with some deviation from standard practice. Works under moderate supervision for routine tasks. May seek advice from more senior personnel in the same area. Position Type:  Full-time, Non-Exempt Knowledge & Experience:  * Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, logistics or related field preferred.  * 3+ years of experience in logistics management required  * English proficiency required.  * Spanish proficiency is preferred.    Qualifications The type of experience required to effectively perform the essential functions and responsibilities of this position is:  * Excellent communication and negotiation skills.  * Ability to speak and write in English is required.  * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software.  * Good management and organizational skills.  * Strong problem-solving skills    Essential Functions | Accountabilities | Performance Measures * Oversee the distribution operations of a warehouse, helping ensure that goods arrive at their destination on time and undamaged  * Implementing distribution policies, conducting routine inspections, delegating tasks to staff, and overseeing shipment tracking  * Organizing and managing inventory, storage, and transportation.  * Analyzing and optimizing logistical procedures.  * Reviewing, preparing, and routing purchase orders.  * Prepare accurate reports for upper management.  * Ensuring the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments.  * Monitoring shipments, costs, timelines, and productivity.  * Maintain logs and records of warehouse stock and executed orders  * Addressing and resolving shipment and inventory issues.  * Liaising and negotiating with suppliers and retailers, and responding to customer queries.  * Regular and punctual attendance, consistently adhere to the assigned work schedule. * Comply with all company and safety requirements, policies, and procedures. * Other duties as assigned    Communication & Influence: Communicates with contacts typically within the department or unit on matters that typically involve obtaining or providing information requiring some explanation or interpretation in order to reach an agreement.   Problem Solving & Complexity: Problems and issues faced are routine, but solutions are frequently not clearly prescribed. May require interpretation of procedures or policies to resolve problems. Checks and makes minor adjustments to work methods to solve problems that are routine and typically exist in current work processes and systems.
