Responsibilities

The Distribution Centre Manager is a full-time leadership role based in Wetherill Park, NSW, overseeing operations across two key sites: Wetherill Park and Glendenning - NSW. Reporting to the Regional Logistics Manager, this position is accountable for ensuring seamless, efficient, and cost-effective operations that consistently meet and exceed customer expectations. With a strong focus on safety, performance, and operational excellence, the role will drive a high-performing culture, fostering collaboration across teams, internal stakeholders, and customers to deliver outstanding results.

In this role you will:

  • Oversee the end-to-end management of receipt, storage, picking, and dispatch operations across NSW, ensuring seamless distribution to other states and New Zealand.
  • Lead a high-performing team of 30+ employees while coordinating the daily movement of over 50 dispatch trucks.
  • Navigate and effectively manage a unionized workforce, proactively addressing conflicts and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Execute strategic site plans to enhance safety, service levels, workforce engagement, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead responses to safety incidents and investigations, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement in workplace safety.
  • Optimize workforce planning by delivering a scalable labour plan that aligns with operational demands.
  • Manage budgets and forecasts, providing key financial insights to support the Regional Logistics Manager.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across manufacturing, planning, sales, the Trade Network, and customer service.
  • Monitor, analyze, and achieve key logistics productivity KPIs to drive operational excellence.
  • Champion and uphold a culture of safety, ensuring best practices are consistently followed.

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, with standard hours approximately 9am - 5pm, requiring flexibility to support operational demands.
