REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6+ months of Distribution Finance Underwriting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6+ months of financial analysis experience or similar experiences/ exposure in reviewing financial statements
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively and cooperatively with internal stakeholders and clients which include dealers, distributors and manufacturers
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, recognize the importance of data integrity and adherence to credit policy and procedures
  • Possess fundamental knowledge of corporate legal structures, security and documentation requirements, and security perfection including familiarity with PPSA and RDPRM
  • Working knowledge in various inventory finance programs and agreements.
  • Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent work experience in commercial finance lending or within the commercial banking industry
  • Bilingual (French/English) is preferred but not required.

  • Connaissance fondamentale des structures juridiques des entreprises et des exigences en matière de sûretés et de nantissement, dont la connaissance de la Loi sur les sûretés mobilières (LSM) et du Registre des droits personnels réels et mobiliers (RDPRM).
  • Connaissance pratique de divers programmes et ententes de financement des stocks.
  • Diplôme de premier cycle en commerce, administration des affaires, comptabilité ou finance ou une expérience de travail équivalente en crédit commercial ou dans le secteur des services bancaires commerciaux.
  • Bilinguisme (français et anglais) souhaitable sans être obligatoire.

ABOUT THIS ROLE:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Distribution Finance Underwriting Associate within our Inventory Finance department. This role is for a vacancy in our Mississauga or Montreal office.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Be responsible for the underwriting of basic floor plan lending transactions.
  • Analyze customer financial, organizational and credit information and prepare credit write ups.
  • Identify relevant business, market and other commercial risks faced by the customer.
  • Review new credit requests and monitor existing credit facilities on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist in portfolio management including reviewing waiver requests, satisfying credit conditions and assessing collateral information in support of new and existing credit facilities.
  • Use results of analysis and sound judgment, approve or decline transactions within delegated credit authority and make sound recommendations for transactions which exceed delegated authority.
  • Operate in a regulated environment and adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
