REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7 + years of progressive experience in warehouse, logistics, materials management, or supply chain operations
  • 3 + years of experience in a leadership or management role

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma, PMP) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools, and inventory management software.
  • Proven experience implementing process improvements, with a track record of driving operational excellence, cost savings, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop diverse teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards applicable to warehouse operations.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and cost control initiatives.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and drive results under pressure.
  • Experience working in a multicultural, global environment is highly desirable.
  • Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint) and warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THIS ROLE:

The Jefferson Warehouse Site Leader role is critical for managing warehouse operations within the North America After Market Business in addition to supporting raw and finished goods for the Athens Manufacturing Plant. This person will focus on safety, continuous improvement, operational excellence, budget management, team leadership, and customer satisfaction. This position requires extensive experience and skills to drive efficiency, compliance, and collaboration across various stakeholders within multiple business units.
The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to identify and remove obstacles, look for opportunities to drive process improvement, possess strong attention to detail in order to positively impact business results and work with the highest levels of integrity. The desired candidate will be a passionate leader who can leverage best practices within the business to set direction and drive change through transparency, communication and execution. This position leads a two-shift warehouse operations team, distribution center supervisors and approximately 50 hourly employees.
This role is responsible for the sales for the PPG aftermarket business. It also runs a 2-shift warehouse including hourly and salaried employees.
