POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Distribution Manager to coordinate and oversee our logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations. This role ensures imported goods are cleared, stored, and delivered efficiently and cost-effectively, supporting the company’s growth and commitment to exceptional customer service.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Commerce, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Completion of courses or units specifically related to supply chain, logistics, or inventory management.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in logistics, warehousing, or distribution management.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Practical experience in handling international imports, particularly from China, including familiarity with customs clearance procedures and documentation.
  • Ability to supervise warehouse and delivery staff and coordinate with third-party logistics providers.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory control systems and logistics processes.
  • Effective communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin and Hokkien highly regarded to support direct communication with suppliers.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate inbound shipments from overseas suppliers, including customs clearance and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor stock levels and implement inventory control systems to maintain availability at minimum cost.
  • Supervise the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods through the warehouse.
  • Manage and allocate resources, including warehouse staff and delivery drivers.
  • Liaise with third-party logistics providers and monitor service performance.
  • Develop and oversee delivery schedules to ensure timely and accurate customer fulfilment.
  • Monitor logistics costs, including freight and distribution, and suggest process improvements.
  • Ensure accurate recording of supply, storage, and distribution activities.
  • Liaise with other departments to plan stock requirements and forecast demand.
  • Oversee compliance with workplace health and safety standards in logistics operations.
  • Provide guidance, supervision, and performance monitoring for warehouse and delivery staff.
