Set goals for the work group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together: Identify and communicate key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team of direct reports promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results. Support supervisors, leads and partners in their efforts to improve productivity, communications and morale. Support the implementation of company programs to ensure the success of the Company. Provide functional expertise and execute functional responsibilities. Adhere to established distribution processes to maintain inventory integrity. Apprise management of team progress toward departmental goals. Ensure effective and timely communication of company, plant and departmental information to managers, peers and own work team, including supervisors, leads and partners. Ensure workplace safety and addresses safety issues promptly and completely. Establish and implement quality and cost improvement initiatives that are supported and sustained by all distribution partners. Contribute to the development of effective cost-saving initiatives. Maintain and improve customer service levels for all business units served. Ensure clear communications among business units and understanding of new and changing business requirements. Monitor and control staffing levels, overtime, and throughput to attain annual budget improvement targets. Support all established plant and departmental goals and objectives. Support development and implementation of programs and procedures that contribute to the success of the department and the Company. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing Ability to recommend and implement solutions Ability to build relationships Develop strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results. Contribute to the development of the annual operating plan and budget, and quarterly forecast updates. Prepare, communicate, and educate client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization.
