  • Adecco is currently hiring for a Distribution Operator to join our client’s team in Stouffville, Ontario (near Markham and Richmond Hill). This is a full-time, temporary opportunity in the logistics and warehouse operations sector. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and processing shipments, handling stock orders, and ensuring all materials are received, packaged, and distributed accurately. The ideal candidate will have experience with shipping systems, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Salary: $21/hour
  • Location: Stouffville, Ontario (close to Markham and Richmond Hill)
  • Job Type: Full-time, temporary
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, Days

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
  • Minimum of 1 year shipping experience (domestic and international shipping an asset).
  • Ability to lift and/or move boxes up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Must maintain regular and punctual attendance and adhere to safety requirements.
  • Familiarity with shipping documentation (packing slips, commercial invoices, etc.) is considered an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare stock and floor orders for shipment by checking product descriptions, lot numbers, and recording specified amounts on packing slips using the computer system.
  • Operate PadPak/strapping machines for final shipment preparation.
  • Work with FedEx, Purolator, UPS, and the company’s internal shipping systems.
  • Build boxes, stock tally stations, recycle boxes, and receive shipments of supplies.
  • Prepare shipments for cross-dock processing.
  • Maintain compliance with the company Quality Policy Manual and perform quality work at accepted department/production rates.
  • Ensure accurate packaging and boxing of materials in accordance with department procedures.
  • Support general housekeeping duties within the warehouse.
