It takes the best to build the best – join us!     Wage Schedule:      1st six months $48.83 per hour                                  2nd six months $52.72 per hour                                  3rd six months $58.70 per hour                                  4th six months $69.51 per hour     Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain electric distribution system to assure continuity of service, prepare, check, and direct orders for electric distribution system switching operations and controls; operate electric supervisory control devices; perform substation switching; direct service restoration activities; maintain records and operating diagrams; document system operating map updates; respond to inquiries for information from internal customers; perform other related duties as assigned or required.     Qualifications Experience, Qualifications, and Requirements: * Relevant and related experience strongly preferred. * Must have good safety habits. * Must have good oral and written communication skills. (Listening and speaking) * Must have good analytical skills. * Must be able to multitask. * Must have demonstrated the ability to absorb formal training and schooling. * Must have typing ability and be able to work with basic PC software (email, Internet, Microsoft Office applications) and demonstrated ability on advanced computer applications including Network Management Systems, SCADA, or equivalent etc). * Must be proficient in the English language (verbal and written) * Must be able to distinguish red, blue and green colors. * Must have good attendance record. * Must be willing to work rotating shift work including weekend and holiday shifts. * Must have ability to perform mathematical calculations.   Must complete an 18-month training program, which includes: substation and field site visits, ride-alongs and test assessments.   Vacations will be limited during training. Responsibilities
The operator is responsible for maintaining the electric distribution system to ensure service continuity by preparing, checking, and directing switching orders and operating supervisory control devices. Duties also include directing service restoration, maintaining records, documenting system updates, and responding to internal information requests.
