Description The full-time Distribution Team Member will have responsibility for assigned warehouse duties, including shipping and receiving, unloading and loading trucks, fulfilling orders and delivery. This position will work an 8-hour shift Monday through Friday Major Duties: · Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety codes. · Assist Distribution Manager with the following tasks: o Receive trucks and unload merchandise. o Check-in merchandise and affix labels. o Match purchase orders to sales orders. o Deliver excellent customer service and provide a positive experience with each interaction with customers. o Assist with fulfilling customer orders. o Move materials off racks and package for shipment. o Place merchandise on pallets or shelves for distribution o Record amounts of materials or items received. o Sort material according to size, type, style, color, and/or product code Requirements · Valid Driver's License is required and must be insurable. · Ability to achieve forklift certification upon hire. · Ability to successfully pass pre-employment background check, drug screen and a Physical Capabilities Profile assessment. · Ability to communicate clearly and professionally. · Ability to work independently with attention to detail. · Ability to carry out assigned tasks. Physical Demands: · Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. · Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawl. · Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. · Must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 55 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. · Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: Normal office environment, but may be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold) Frequent activity: Sitting, Viewing at computer screen. Occasional activity: Standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching above shoulder, pushing, pulling. This position works in a warehouse setting with some exposure to the outdoors and variable temperatures. Routinely uses standards office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and standard warehouse equipment such as automated equipment, box cutters, pallet jacks, and tape dispensers.
