  • Experience
  • Previous customer service experience is essential.
  • Marketing experience, including the creation and distribution of flyers, is preferred.
  • Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Apps.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of effective practices for word processing and electronic program operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service:
  • Answer phone calls in a pleasant, informed manner to provide information and create a positive image of the district.
  • Manage the telephone message system, including recording messages related to office hours, inclement weather, and other updates.
  • Greet visitors to the school in a friendly and informed manner, responding to inquiries and providing referrals and directions as needed.
  • Forward requests for information and messages to the appropriate individuals promptly.
  • Clerical and Administrative Support:
  • Maintain the office meeting calendar and schedule meetings held at the school.
  • Sort and distribute mail within the school and operate the postage machine, ordering postage when necessary.
  • Assist personnel with the mailing and distribution of various documents and communications.
  • Perform other clerical tasks as assigned, including word processing, creating databases, and managing office supplies
  • Marketing Support:
  • Assist in creating and distributing marketing materials such as flyers and newsletters to promote school activities and events.
  • Support the marketing team with content creation and community engagement initiatives.
  • Other Duties:
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Physical and Cognitive Requirements:

  • Work in this classification is considered light physical work.

  • Must be able to prepare, read, and comprehend various job-related forms, reports, spreadsheets, maps, plans, records, documentation, and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak confidently and respond adequately to inquiries or complaints.
  • Proficiency in writing using standard conventions.
