EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively relay information
  • Proficiency in logistics management and supply chain processes
  • Experience with fleet management systems
  • Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate records
  • Familiarity with Acumatica and Wastelinq, Microsoft 365 or similar software is required
  • Basic understanding of environmental response route optimization is a plus
  • Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
Responsibilities

DISTRICT DISPATCHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The District Dispatcher will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient communication between drivers and the operations team. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to providing excellent service. The District Dispatcher will be responsible for scheduling multiple locations within the district.

DISTRICT DISPATCHER JOB DUTIES:

  • Coordinate and schedule transportation routes for drivers, ensuring accuracy and maintaining a two-week schedule at all times
  • Extensive collaboration with Operations and Branch Managers to ensure proper utilization rates are maintained
  • Communicate effectively with drivers using phone systems to provide real-time updates
  • Monitor fleet operations and manage day-to-day activities
  • Input and maintain accurate data in dispatching system
  • Respond promptly to any issues or delays that arise during transportation
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations within the supply chain
  • Work closely with the Finance Department, i.e. Billers and Operations Specialists, to ensure expeditious and accurate invoicing
  • Will be required to be On-Call bi-weekly
