A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DISTRICT MANAGER AT RWC – KELOWNA/INTERIOR REGION

We’re building something exciting in the Okanagan—and we’re looking for a driven, relationship focused District Manager to help us lead the way.
As the District Manager in Kelowna, you’ll be responsible for overseeing project execution, estimating, and business development efforts in the region. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for clients and partners, while also working closely with our internal teams to ensure project and business success. This is a hybrid role combining elements of project management, estimating, and business development. Perfect for someone who thrives on variety and impact.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a related role such as Project Management, Estimating, or Business Development.
  • Comfortable interpreting blueprints, scopes of work, and project specifications.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • A network of local contacts in the Kelowna/Okanagan construction market is an asset.
  • Experience in Drywall/Framing is an advantage but not required.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence to take initiative and lead.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day project operations within the Kelowna region.
  • Lead and support estimating efforts for upcoming opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and industry stakeholders in the Okanagan.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow RWC’s footprint in the region.
  • Collaborate with head office and field teams to ensure seamless transitions from estimating to execution to closeout.
  • Participate in contract negotiations, procurement planning, and schedule development to support project success.
  • Monitor project budgets, cost control, and progress tracking, adjusting plans proactively as needed.
  • Represent RWC as the local point of contact, upholding the company’s values, standards, and client-focused culture.
  • Develop and implement local sales and client engagement strategies in alignment with broader company goals.
  • Attend industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings to represent RWC and build market visibility.
  • Contribute to hiring, training, and mentoring as the regional team grows, fostering a strong and cohesive branch culture.
