Position Summary:
Reporting to the District Sales Manager, the District Sales Representative facilitates order and delivery interactions for foodservice customers while seeking growth opportunities in existing accounts and bringing new customers on board. Acting as a trusted foodservice consultant, you will leverage Gordon Food Service products, solutions, and value-added services to help customers achieve their goals.

What you would do:

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a trusted partner and consultant
  • Order Management: Facilitate the order and delivery process, troubleshooting any issues such as out-of-stock items
  • Account Development: Identify growth opportunities, penetrate existing accounts, minimize lost business, and acquire new customers
  • Sales Strategy Execution: Develop negotiation and pricing strategies, execute the selling cycle, and conduct customer business reviews
  • Market Expertise: Stay updated on foodservice industry trends, culinary practices, and customer focus areas such as sales building, staffing, and profitability
  • Presentations and Sampling: Deliver compelling presentations and effective product sampling to communicate the value of Gordon Food Service products and solutions
  • CRM Utilization: Maintain accurate and up-to-date account information and analyze opportunities using CRM tools
  • Accounts Receivable: Ensure customer balances are managed within company guidelines.
