The District Trainer will drive retail excellence by elevating the capabilities, benchstrength and engagement of our retail leaders and teams.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 12 months work experience in a sports/fashion customer- and commercial-focused retail environment with advanced selling experience and comprehensive product, retail and industry understanding, [as well as with first supervisor experience]
  • Intermediate numeracy and literacy and advanced verbal communication skills

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Competent and proven experience in influencing peers and above
  • Delivering training workshops and initiatives
  • Knowledge of the adidas brand
  • Knowledge of Retail Key performance indicators, Profit and Loss reports, and Store Operations
  • Experience of working in a Retail environment
  • Tenacity to achieve and exceed KPI targets
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE & IMPACT ON ORGANIZATION:

Contribute to store profitability by:

  • Meeting or exceeding sales and KPI targets within the store through learning and development
  • To lead training and development in the store by providing a best-in-class onboarding and training program to ensure employees are fully knowledgeable in all areas of their role
  • To provide a business partner service to the Store Manager, District Manager, and store team to deliver all business training projects in full and on time in collaboration with the Market, Hub and GSA Training function to ensure excellence in execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, drive, and support the implementation of all Retail training programs and platforms (i.e Connect, Engage, Inspire (CEI), Every Moment Matters, AREA, ATTICUS, Seasonal Product Learning, etc) by creating and/or leading inspiring and engaging workshops for the store team to ensure successful execution in the store.
  • Create a professional, high-performance culture by upskilling, coaching and supporting Training Champs, Store Management Team, and subject specialists in stores within the District to deliver best in class training standards through effective communications methods (ie. training sessions, online tools, training tools, Thinktime, etc.)
  • Monitor and analyze performance data and make any necessary adjustments to drive commercial success, primarily within learning and development.
  • Be a Brand Ambassador, consistently exhibiting the Brand Attitude and Values
  • Collaborate with the PAC Sales Academy to ensure best practice and compliance when delivering training initiatives and provide feedback on content and implementation of training programs to ensure cluster, market, and global alignment.
  • Supervise and support the team to ensure all customers receive an optimal service level at all times
  • Support store operations including Visual Merchandising and In-Store Communication standards, merchandise delivery management process, organized stockroom and direct sales floor replenishment, and all applicable loss prevention procedures
  • Plan and implement engaging and effective onboarding programs for new joiners to the business in alignment with the Store Manager and District Manager. Support on the delivery of new store openings with new teams
  • Supports Market Retail Learning strategy through coaching and supporting Retail In-store Learning Team within the District
  • Share best practices to drive the overall store team performance and market Retail Learning strategy
