Description Cherokee Town & Country Club in Atlanta, GA, is seeking to hire a Diving coach who will be Responsible for planning, organizing, and leading diving instruction and training sessions for participants of varying ages and skill levels. This role focuses on developing fundamental and advanced diving skills, promoting water safety, and fostering a positive, supportive, and disciplined training environment. The Dive Coach ensures all sessions are conducted safely, maintains equipment and facility standards, and supports the overall mission and goals of the aquatics and wellness department. REPORTS TO: Assistant director of Family, Swim, and Fitness. Our Diving Coach will earn a pay rate of $20/hour and 80% commission. If this sounds like the perfect part-time gig for you, apply today! JOB DUTIES: As a Dive coach you will plan and implement structed diving practices, including water and dryland training. This person will teach proper diving techniques, progressions, and safety procedures. Our dive coach will provide individualized instruction, feedback and skill corrections to participants. Ensure the safety and well-being of all divers by enforcing pool rules and safety standards. Inspect diving boards, pool areas, and equipment prior to each session and report maintenance needs. Develop practice plans aligned with program goals and participant ability levels. Motivate and encourage divers while fostering confidence, discipline, and teamwork. Maintain attendance records and communicate participant progress with supervisors and families as needed. Assist with program promotion, events, exhibitions, or competitions when applicable. Maintain all required certifications and comply with organizational policies and procedures. Attend all CSTA and departmental meetings when in season. Communicate to all parents on skills and development. QUALIFICIATIONS: Prior diving, aquatics instruction, or coaching experience preferred. Knowledge of competitive and/or recreational diving techniques and progressions. Experience working with youth, teens, or beginner athletes preferred. Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to demonstrate diving skills and provide clear instruction. Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe). Lifeguard certification preferred (may be required depending on facility).
