Overview This position serves as administrative assistant to the Department Leader The position also provides secretarial and clerical assistance to managers, including correspondence, taking and transcribing minutes, notes and reports, and scheduling meetings, etc. Among other duties, this position greets the public, answers telephones, and responds to patient and physician problems and complaints. Position is responsible for coordinating the Committees as assigned. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED required Education preferred: Associate degree from an accredited college or university Experience: Minimum of three to five years experience as secretary required, preferably in a hospital setting. Additional Skills/Abilities: Must be able to effectively communicate with employees and managers regarding sensitive and often complicated issues. Must be able and willing to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
