STRATEGIC & ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP: • Provide visionary leadership and direction to childcare operations, ensuring alignment with agency goals, mission execution, and growth priorities. • Develop and implement strategic plans for program expansion, operational efficiency, and staff development. • Establish and maintain high standards of program quality and customer service across all childcare sites. • Assess program effectiveness regularly and lead continuous improvement efforts to meet or exceed Childcare Regulation Minimum Standards for School Age and Before/After-School Programs. • Lead with executive presence—modeling professionalism, discretion, timely decision-making, and a collaborative leadership style. OPERATIONAL OVERSIGHT & ACCOUNTABILITY: • Oversee daily operations of all Before/Afterschool, summer and Holiday sites, ensuring consistency, safety, and regulatory compliance. • Build and manage systems of accountability for Program Managers, ensuring clear expectations, timely follow-through, and performance excellence. • Supervise and develop Program Managers, Accounts Manager, Office Manager, interns, and volunteers. • Establish and maintain operational systems that support staff management, training, onboarding, professional development, and staff recognition. • Partner with the Facilities Manager to ensure the Matlock office environment is safe, functional, and conducive to productivity. FINANCIAL LEADERSHIP & RESOURCE MANAGEMENT: • Develop and manage the annual childcare department budget to ensure financial sustainability and responsible stewardship. • Create and monitor annual revenue generation plans for each site, including targets, growth strategies, andperformance measures. • Ensure accurate documentation of donations, in-kind contributions, and financial transactions in accordance with agency policies. • Monitor financial trends, enrollment patterns, and resource needs to support proactive planning and decision-making. PARTNERSHIPS, COMMUNICATIONS, & PUBLIC RELATIONS: • Build and strengthen relationships with parents, school district partners, community stakeholders, and • and external collaborators to support program success. • Serve as a primary representative for childcare department, demonstrating professionalism, excellent communication, and strong relationship-building skills. • Collaborate cross-departmentally with agency teams to support organizational goals, marketing initiatives, and expansion opportunities. • Develop and implement marketing materials and brand-aligned messaging to promote childcare programs and increase awareness and enrollment. • Address parent concerns, district requests, and community inquiries with timeliness, clarity, and diplomacy. and external collaborators to support program success. • Serve as a primary representative for childcare department, demonstrating professionalism, excellent communication, and childcare department. strong relationship-building skills. • Collaborate cross-departmentally with agency teams to support organizational goals, marketing initiatives, and expansion opportunities. • Develop and implement marketing materials and brand-aligned messaging to promote childcare programs and increase awareness and enrollment. • Address parent concerns, district requests, and community inquiries with timeliness, clarity, and diplomacy. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTING AND MANAGEMENT: • Prepare weekly, quarterly, and annual reports on departmental performance, site progress, and strategic outcomes. • Maintain systems for data collection, compliance tracking, staff development, and program evaluation. • Lead Division operations meetings; attend Program Manager meetings and participate in Leadership meetings as directed by the COO. • Ensure timely completion of required participant assessments and reporting to internal and external stakeholders. STAFF, INTERN, AND VOLUNTEER LEADERSHIP: • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate staff at all levels, upholding high standards of professionalism, accountability, and team culture. • Anticipate personnel needs and partner with Human Resources to proactively address issues with tact, confidentiality, and fairness. • Lead regular staff meetings, training sessions, and team-building activities. AGENCY MISSION AND GOALS: • Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission, values, and goals of the organization. • Represent the agency with integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence. • Participate in agency-wide goal setting, planning, and collaborative initiatives. • Support fundraising, donor engagement, and volunteer events as directed. • Share responsibility for general office duties, including greeting guests and answering phones. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare operation or equivalent leadership experience. • Proven ability to make timely, effective decisions and manage real-time operational challenges. • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire teams and manage diverse staff. • Experience in staff supervision, training, and performance management. • Ability to effectively manage operating budget exceeding $1,000,000 and multiple priorities across locations. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, State Licensing platform, and various software to manage day to day operations and related operational tools. • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in education, business administration, human services, or a related field. • Licensed Childcare Director credential. • Experience supervising interns or working in multi-site program environments. Requirements PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position requires the ability to operate phones, computers, and other office equipment, and the physical ability to perform light lifting. This person must be able to communicate effectively with program participants. Work is typically performed in an office or classroom setting, and may involve standing, stooping, bending, and walking. However, the agency will make accommodations when necessary. This person may be required to travel to various locations throughout Tarrant County. Generally, the working conditions have little or no exposure to extremes in safety hazards or hazardous materials.
