Job Summary This leader has operational accountability and oversight and directs multiple practice sites daily activities including human resources, customer service/satisfaction, financial, medical business information systems, practice profile analysis, compliance with regulatory bodies, and participates in planning and development. In this role, the leader sets the tone and models positive leadership behavior, while ensuring teamwork tasks, projects, and responsibilities are completed successfully in support of departmental and organizational goals. Required Qualifications - Require a Bachelor's Degree in related field; or relevant work experience in healthcare or business administration in a leadership role can be substituted on a year-for-year basis in lieu of the required degree- Require five (5) years of medical practice management experience in a clinical group setting of six or more providers or multiple sites including management responsibility for all operational areas including finance in which three (3) years in a hospital-based setting of three or more providers. - Require experience in mentoring/precepting. Preferred Qualifications - Prefer proven financial acumen including, ability to manage budget processes with minimal supervision, ability to proactively explain budget and volume variances, and an understanding of common financial terms (accruals, average charge per visit, overhead rate, contractual, etc.)- Prefer proficiency in computer software programs including: Word, Excel, Power Point, practice management software, EHR and Outlook.- Prefer the ability to take imitative and exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem solving.- Prefer effective leadership skills and understanding of group processes, teamwork and site/cost center based management.- Prefer the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) certification.- Prefer effective communication skills at all levels.- Prefer demonstrated ability to analyze problems and consistently follow through to solution.- Prefer knowledge of third party payers.- Prefer demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
