What You'll Do 📈 Business Growth & Client Engagement Play a pivotal role in strengthening and expanding the business through: Providing input on bids and proposals, including reviewing bids before submission. Actively seeking new business opportunities and promoting Fyfes capabilities. Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Managing information flow and relationships with external partners—clients, suppliers and consultants. Growing the groups presence in SA and proactively pursuing opportunities interstate. 💼 Finance & Operational Leadership Become a trusted driver of operational performance by: Managing outstanding debtors and operational costs alongside Finance. Ensuring invoicing is timely and accurate. Reporting on section performance, WIP and financial metrics with clarity and confidence. Take charge of delivering high‑quality engineering outcomes by: Driving the review, approval and refinement of structural engineering drawings, designs and reports. Preparing, reviewing and enhancing project designs, scopes, proposals and cost estimates. Leading on‑site inspections with clients, contractors, councils and regulators. Coordinating projects to ensure delivery on time, within scope and on budget. Managing resource scheduling so the right people and tools are ready when needed. Partnering with internal managers to streamline workflows and optimise delivery. Keeping Project Tracker updated and following up actions with precision. Providing hands‑on mentoring and supervision to drafters, designers and engineers. Growing the groups presence in SA and proactively pursuing opportunities interstate. 🎓 What You Bring Were looking for someone with the skills and confidence to lead from the front: Essential Qualifications & Experience Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline. Experience delivering large‑scale property projects. Proven leadership experience. Demonstrated capability in business development, client engagement and consultation. High level of computer literacy and proficiency in engineering design software. Desirable Project management qualifications and/or experience.
