Job Description
To be successful in this role you will need to establish and control all financial and fiscal management of the division’s operations under the direction of the Group Executive and MedHealth Executive, drive commercialisation and growth, and drive projects including but not limited to platform integrations and continuous improvement initiatives.
The role will demonstrate leadership to a team of 11 with 1 direct report who provide financial/accounting services to the broader Health and Business Solutions Division.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Represent the division at board meetings alongside the Group Executive
  • Assist and drive commercialisation and growth of the division
  • Lead financial management for the Health and Business Solutions Division, ensuring accurate and timely financial reports and forecasts
  • Direct the establishment of financial principles and practices in line with statutory and corporate requirements
  • Identify and develop opportunities to increase business value, advising on financial implications of management decisions
  • Implement effective financial controls and maintain appropriate management accounting systems and budgetary controls
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, including tax returns and insurance coverage
  • Participate in developing corporate strategies as a member of the division’s executive team

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified Accountant or Certified Practising Accountant for a minimum of 5 years
  • Tertiary Qualification in Accounting or relevant field
  • Sound business and commercial acumen and outcome focused with appropriate risk management and balanced solutions
  • Experience within health, government and technology will be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team to achieve organisational goals
  • Highly developed problem solving and the ability to provide effective solutions within established frameworks and resources
  • Ability to work with a high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible to organisational changes and requirements
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment to achieve organisational and team goals
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office 365, specifically Excel and relevant accounting platforms
