Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must possess a current, unencumbered, active RN license to practice as a Chief Nursing Office in the state of operation. 3-5 years of previous experience within the long-term care industry, preferred Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must be knowledgeable of nursing & medical practices & procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities. Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergencies, and he/she must have working knowledge of government regulations impacting the skilled nursing industry

Responsibilities

This role involves providing interim Chief Nursing Officer coverage, collaborating on operations, and managing incident reviews, risk management, and complaint resolution across assigned facilities. The specialist will also be responsible for staff training, clinical education, resident assessment, care coordination, medication oversight, and quality assurance auditing.
