OVERVIEW

AtkinsClarke are proud to be exclusively supporting a dynamic division of a PE-backed group who are recruiting a Divisional Finance Director for a 12-month maternity cover. This is a high-profile leadership role within a fast-paced services group, working closely with a demanding but ambitious Managing Director, you’ll provide commercial challenge, strategic insight, and financial leadership to drive profitable growth.

PERSON

We’re looking for a proven senior finance leader with a track record of partnering with operational leaders in a complex, multi-site environment. You’ll be commercially minded, strategic in outlook, and comfortable balancing detail with the bigger picture.

Ideally, you will offer:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Significant post-qualified experience in a senior finance leadership role
  • Strong business partnering skills and credibility with operational leaders
  • Experience of working in a PE-backed or highly commercial environment (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding but rewarding culture

Responsibilities
  • Acting as a trusted partner to the divisional MD, providing financial challenge and commercial insight
  • Leading on forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning across multiple business lines
  • Supporting strategic initiatives, pricing decisions, and new business opportunities
  • Driving performance management through clear reporting, KPIs, and commentary
  • Working with the CFO and Group finance to ensure consistency and alignment with group strategy
  • Providing leadership and development to divisional finance teams
  • Supporting M&A activity, investment appraisals, and integration projects as require
