Key Responsibilities: Taxation Compliance Ensure compliance with direct tax (Income Tax, TDS) and indirect tax (GST) regulations. Timely preparation, validation, and filing of tax returns (GST, TDS, Income Tax). Reconciliation of GST Input Tax Credit with vendor returns to minimize mismatches and liabilities. Review and verify tax-related calculations and supporting documents for accuracy and compliance. Tax Planning & Advisory Provide inputs for effective tax planning at the plant level. Evaluate tax implications of transactions and advise on cost-effective measures to reduce tax liabilities. Audits and Assessments Support statutory and internal audits related to taxation. Coordinate with tax authorities for timely completion of assessments and handling of queries. Assist in the preparation of responses to notices and appeals. SAP Management Efficiently use SAP FICO modules for tax compliance, reporting, and reconciliations. Conduct periodic audits of SAP transactions for taxation accuracy. Liaise with the IT team for resolving tax-related system issues. Reporting and MIS Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual tax-related MIS reports. Maintain proper documentation and records for tax audits and compliance requirements. Team Collaboration Work closely with the F&A team at the plant and corporate level for tax-related matters. Train and guide plant-level teams on tax processes and updates. Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of Direct and Indirect Tax Laws, including GST and Income Tax. Hands-on experience with SAP FICO module (mandatory). Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel. Analytical skills for reconciliation and problem-solving. Communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Educational Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA) – Qualified or ICWAI and with a valid membership from ICAI.
