Description:
Divisional Managing Director will support the Divisional Clinical Director in providing high-level operational and strategic business planning and leadership to ensure that the Division provides high quality patient care and achieves its performance objectives. This will include ensuring high quality patient care, patient safety, clinical quality and governance, the delivery of agreed performance and financial objectives, and ensuring that the Division operates with the needs of patients as its highest priority.
Divisional Managing Director will be accountable to the Divisional Clinical Director and will ensure that services within the division are delivered within budget, to agreed quality standards, in accordance with the Division’s Strategic objectives against required activity levels and are designed to deliver an exemplary patient experience. Take a lead role in supporting compliance with key financial and access requirements. Provide strategic leadership and professional advice within the Division within a climate of change that enables high quality services to be delivered to patients and families consistently - will be responsible for the development and provision of transformational leadership across all clinical services to ensure and consistently develop a safe, high-quality, cost-effective service for patients, families, and carers.

Our Group provides community, acute and specialist services to people in Lincolnshire and neighbouring counties. Our 2023/24 Group annual income was c£874m, and we employ approximately 11,000 WTE staff.
We provide services at Lincoln County Hospital, Grantham and District Hospital and Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, as well as running services from community hospital sites and other community locations across Lincolnshire.

Leadership and Management - e nsure that the shared organisational vision and strategic aims, values and culture of the Trust are actively promoted across the Division and that the post-holder provides clear leadership and is a role model for their delivery. Managerially responsible for; Divisional Delivery, Planning and Performance, Daily Operational Oversight of all clinical services, Performance management of Clinical Business Units, Delivery of corporate access standard 18 weeks, Cancer, 4Hr standard and DM01, Emergency planning response and business continuity within area of responsibility and General Managers and Deputy General Manager.
Service Delivery, Business Management and Performance - Maintains regular access and contact with the Deputy Chief Operating Officer (DCOO) for matters relating to delivery issues and keeps the DCOO appraised of any concerns.
Financial and Resource Management - Lead and ensure delivery of Divisional budget ensuring all financial Standing Financial Instructions are adhered to and budget control targets are met.
Governance and Risk - Ensure patient safety and experience is at the centre of planning, analysis and delivery.
Communication - Provide necessary, accurate and timely information to appropriate governance, delivery, and transformation oversight groups.
Human Resources - Promote a culture where staff feel empowered and accountable for the service they provide and managers are supported to lead, motivate, and develop staff who feel valued and respected.
Education and Teaching - Ensure that all staff in the department receive appropriate training and on-going development to enable them to competently and safely fulfil their roles.
Trust-Wide Responsibilities - Ensure the involvement of local people in planning and development of services, engaging and consulting as appropriate. Take necessary steps to engage with vulnerable and hard to reach groups to deliver equality of outcomes
