Title: DJBOSSS: Air Cargo Handler In/Out Belong, Connect, Grow, with KBR! Program Summary KBR's Readiness and Sustainment division is the Team Behind the Mission®. As DJBOSS we deliver and sustain mission critical services to the U.S. military and coalition partners at Djibouti, Africa, Camp Lemonnier Naval Base round the world. KBR ensures these bases operate smoothly, allowing deployed personnel to focus on mission execution. Job Summary Verifies eligibility of cargo and mail offered for airlift. Loads and unloads aircraft. Prepares and maintains air movement records and reports. Ensures all cargo documentation, packaging, labeling and marking requirements, and all border clearance requirements have been met. Roles and Responsibilities Determines and implements necessary safety and security precautions for handling and storing dangerous materials, special cargoes, mail, and baggage. Prepares, completes, and maintains air movements records, documents, and reports. Prepares and maintains travel forms and weight and balance records. Selects, assembles, palletizes, and transports aircraft cargo loads to and from aircraft and storage areas. Checks cargo against manifests, and annotates overage, shortage, or damage. Secures cargo with appropriate devices and equipment. Exercises necessary safety and security precautions in handling and storing hazardous or special cargoes and mail. Uses computer systems to provide in-transit visibility over cargo movement operations (GATES). Performs load team and load team chief duties (IAW DAFI24-605). Performs joint inspections (IAW DTR 4500.9-R). Performs other air cargo related duties as required Provides support to other departments within Air Operations as mission dictates and/or as directed by management. Basic Qualifications Experience in functions such as loading and unloading aircraft; operating automated or manual materials handling and other loading equipment (i.e.: including but not limited to 10K forklifts, 25K-Loader, lower lobe loader, etc.); and/or processing, scheduling, and maintaining records relating to cargo movement. Must have or be able to obtain (and maintain) hazmat inspector certification (IAW AFMAN 24-604). Must have or be able to obtain (and maintain) load team chief qualification. Must have or be able to obtain (and maintain) joint inspector certification. Preferred Qualifications Must be fluent in English Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity; validity must be maintained in this position.
