Description JOB OVERVIEW: The DME Fitter is responsible for coordinating the ordering, delivery, and inventory management of durable medical equipment (DME) at The Orthopaedic Institute. This role supports physicians, clinical staff, and patients by ensuring DME products are accurately dispensed, tracked, and billed. This position offers hands-on training, career growth opportunities, and a collaborative team environment in a fast-paced outpatient orthopaedic clinic. Schedule: Monday–Friday, no nights or weekends required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: · Maintain inventory of all DME products · DME Application · Posts DME charges · Ordering and receiving order in Inventory Management software · Train employees on DME process and procedures · Cleaning/stocking · Ensure blood borne pathogen, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements and other governmental regulations are adhered to. · Ensure all safety regulations are adhered to. · Other duties as assigned Requirements QUALIFICATIONS/LICENSE: DME or orthopaedic experience preferred EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years of medical office or clinical environment experience preferred SKILLS: · Excellent customer service skills. · Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. · Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. · Proficient with computer skills including experience with practice management software desired. · Team-oriented with a desire to learn and grow within the organization.
