Description Responsible for taking care of the store front retail sales area. Position is responsible for ordering the retail sales inventory and ensuring that items are kept in stock as they are sold. Serves as the receptionist, greeter and customer assistant Responsible for entering items and necessary information into sales/inventory system including pricing when items are received and for insurance claims. Match shipping notices with invoices/statements received from vendors; approve and sending them to Patterson Health Center for payment. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Is prompt and regular in attendance. Works scheduled hours. Complies with Human Resources policies. Answer questions for doctor’s offices, requesting any necessary documentation. Serves as the back up billing clerk. Ensures all claims are billed properly. Ensures all documentation is received. Assists as needed or directed by supervisor with the following: Deliver/pickup oxygen. Deliver/pickup other DME equipment. Clean equipment received back from patient. Assist in DME van maintenance (Calling Anthony Coop to arrange oil changes, etc.). Weekly cleaning of DME (or more frequently as needed.) Answers the phone, takes detailed messages, assist customers with retail merchandise. Fills orders and assists with set up of hospital beds, lift chairs, wheelchairs, walkers, cpap supplies, canes Maintains filing. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Demonstrate timeliness, courtesy, sincerity and patience when dealing with customers, greeting all customers to SCDME. Markets SCDME and Patterson Health Center in a positive and professional manner at all times. Assumes other duties within scope of training as assigned. Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings. Attends meetings as required. Requirements Valid, unrestricted drivers license Prefer one year experience in hospital/business setting or related field
