IBJI wants to help you move better, so you can live better. Summary Illinois Bone and Joint Institute is currently seeking a full time DME Services Coordinator based at our Westmont office. Responsibility Coordinates patient fitting and treatment activities in the clinic setting. Ensures all necessary medical records/x-rays/reports/forms, etc. related to the patient’s DME product fitting and billing are available for precertification. Provides patient care as per physician’s direction/orders. Assists physician and physician’s staff with DME fitting and patient follow up. Monitors and ensures the accurate completion of patient charge tickets that have been fitted by DME Coordinator. Reinforces patient/family education and processes. Resolves patient complaints in a timely manner. Serves as a liaison between Administration, Physicians and staff ensuring that all staff within the department are viewed/treated as “team” members. Is supportive of Managers/departments responsibilities/needs and promotes cooperative efforts between departments. Communicates with all staff all changes in policies and procedures with regard to DME operations as assigned. Ensures the availability/accessibility of DME in order to satisfy physician and clinical staff requirements Ensures that HOA’s DME Organizational Policy and Procedure Manual is made available to all staff for review. Assist with tracking of DME billing/reimbursements. Any other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree and/or ATC Certification preferred DME experience preferred. Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Active driver’s license to travel between HOA Offices This description is intended to provide only basic guidelines for meeting job requirements.
