Description Are you an experienced CDL A Driver looking for a local position where you can use your skills to train the next generation of truck drivers? At 160 Driving Academy, we are hiring experienced truck drivers who want to become apart of our team as a DMV Runner. We provide structured training and support to prepare you for this role. With 150 locations across 43 states, we offer career stability and relocation opportunities within our network of schools. Responsibilities: Safely transport CDL students to and from designated DMV/CDL testing locations, ensuring punctual arrival for scheduled exams Ride along with students during transport to provide guidance, reinforce safe driving habits, and ensure compliance with DOT and company standards Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of training vehicles prior to all departures to ensure safety and operational readiness Monitor student readiness and provide last-minute coaching on key skills such as backing, lane control, and defensive driving techniques Maintain strict adherence to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during all transport activities Coordinate daily schedules with instructors, testing facilities, and internal teams to ensure efficient and timely student flow Ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate prior to testing (permits, identification, paperwork, etc.) Communicate effectively with students to reduce test-day anxiety and promote confidence and professionalism Report any vehicle issues, safety concerns, or scheduling conflicts promptly to management Support overall training operations by assisting instructors and staff as needed to ensure student success What We Offer Local, steady work schedule with no overnight travel.
