THE ROLE

This is a key role working at the core of the internet. As a DNS Engineer, you’ll help run and improve the DNS services that power critical UK infrastructure and government systems. You’ll contribute to service improvements, help design secure, high-performance solutions, and respond quickly to operational issues.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Supporting and maintaining Nominet’s DNS infrastructure to ensure services remain secure, reliable, and high-performing
• Analysing business and technical requirements to design and deliver improvements and new services
• Working with other internal teams and external partners to implement and maintain DNS solutions
• Acting as an escalation point for operational issues, including participating in the on-call rota
• Proactively identifying opportunities to automate processes and improve monitoring and measurement
• Responding to incidents and contributing to incident reviews and service improvements
