Job Description As a DO-178 Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development and verification of embedded software in compliance with DO-178C guidelines for safety-critical avionics systems. You will work closely with system engineers, software developers, and certification specialists to ensure compliance with aviation safety standards. Responsibilities Develop embedded software for real-time avionics systems Participate in the full software lifecycle in accordance with DO-178C Produce and maintain certification artifacts (plans, standards, and lifecycle data) Perform software verification and validation activities (reviews, unit testing, integration testing) Contribute to traceability between requirements, design, code, and tests Support certification activities with authorities and customers Participate in technical reviews and audits Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (systems, hardware, quality, safety) Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering Experience in embedded software development Good understanding of DO-178C software lifecycle processes Experience with C or C++ programming Knowledge of software verification activities (unit testing, integration testing, structural coverage) Familiarity with requirements management and traceability tools (e.g., DOORS or equivalent) is an asset Experience with avionics certification environments is a strong asset Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative engineering environment Additional Information CS Group US values diversity in the workplace and encourages women, visible minorities, ethnic minorities, aboriginal people and people with disabilities to apply.
