JOB DESCRIPTION This entry-level position introduces you to the fundamentals of servicing and maintaining Overhead Doors and Loading Dock equipment. As you gain experience and demonstrate initiative, you will progress toward becoming a Full-Service Field Technician. This role offers: A clear, structured path for advancement Opportunities to develop high-value technical skills Stable, year-round work Competitive compensation as your skills increases Company Service Truck Company Supplied Power Tools Company Supplied Safety Gear You Will Be Trained and Certified to Operate Forklifts and Scissors Lifts Please note: Technicians are required to supply their own basic hand tools (wrenches, socket sets, hammers, measuring tapes, etc) Requirements SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES Learn and perform basic Preventative Maintenance on doors and dock equipment Assist with service, repair, and installation of Overhead Doors and Loading Docks Learn to weld, troubleshoot electrical panels, and complete mechanical repairs Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment Provide excellent communication and customer service while on job sites WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Strong mechanical aptitude Experience using hand and power tools (“turning wrenches”) Great attitude and willingness to learn Good communication skills Self-motivated and comfortable working with your hands Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical, hands-on environment EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma/GED Please note: Technicians are required to supply their own basic hand tools (wrenches, socket sets, hammers, measuring tapes, etc) Must have (and maintain) a current unrestricted driver’s license in good standing WORK CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must have the physical stamina to perform continuously will full body motion for climbing, reaching, pushing, lifting and reaching, etc. Work is performed in a maintenance environment with potential exposure to moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals, or solvents which require knowledge of proper safety procedures. Must be able to favorably pass a Drug Screen, Background Check, DOT physical and lift at least 50 pounds.
