Classification Non-Exempt   Job Summary  The Dock/ Door Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, installing, and maintaining loading dock equipment and commercial doors. They are also proficient in troubleshooting, repairs, and ensuring optimal functionality to enhance efficiency in logistics and warehouse operations. Must be committed to adhering to safety standards while consistently delivering timely and effective solutions for clients.   Essential Functions  * Install, troubleshoot, and repair loading docks, dock levelers, industrial/commercial doors, and related equipment. * Perform installation and maintenance of warehouse infrastructure, including racking systems, industrial fans, floor repairs, and safety equipment such as bollards and barriers. * Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including engines (LP, gas, diesel), electric motors, hydraulic systems, drive axles, brakes, and lifting equipment. * Address electrical components and controls as needed, ensuring proper installation and hardware connectivity. * Conduct routine maintenance and major repairs in accordance with manufacturer specs; block, chock, and disassemble equipment safely. * Support pre-sale efforts with technical guidance, product demos, and application analysis for equipment. * Deliver post-sale customer support to ensure timely issue resolution and satisfaction. * Maintain a safe, clean work environment and actively participate in safety meetings and protocols. * Manage parts and supplies inventory for efficient job execution. * Complete ongoing technical training and certifications as assigned.   Qualifications:  * High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree from a technical college preferred. Equivalent work experience accepted. * Minimum 3 years of experience with heavy machinery, including maintenance and repair. * Working knowledge of machine control systems, electrical, hydraulic, powertrain, and engine components. * Strong mechanical, technical, and troubleshooting skills specific to construction equipment. * Familiarity with construction machinery applications and customer operations. * Committed to delivering excellent customer service. * Effective communication, basic computer skills, and professional demeanor. * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (minimum 5 years driving experience). * Must own appropriate tools for performing repairs.   Typical Physical Activity:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the ability to occasionally lift 75 pounds from floor to chest; reach and use the arms with a full range of motion; endure prolonged standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and squatting while performing mechanical operations; exert push and pull forces with the arms in order to use various wrenches and tools; endure prolonged forward and overhead arm positions while performing mechanical operations; use hands to grasp hand tools and parts and climb onto and operate equipment.    Typical Environmental Conditions:  Employee regularly works indoors around moving mechanical parts. May be exposed to weather extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times. Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, dust, steam, high-pressure water, and high speed rotating equipment. Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment.
