ABOUT YOU:

  • Previous experience in a similar dockhand and driver role.
  • Forklift license preferred
  • MR/HR Truck Driver’s license (essential) with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work autonomously when required.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to act and work in a safe manner at all times.
  • Effective communication skills, including keeping management and relevant parties informed, seeking advice and assistance when needed, and responding to phone calls or messages in a timely manner.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Casual opportunity have become available for to join our Distribution team in Dandenong, VIC. We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team. This role involves warehouse and driving responsibilities, ensuring the efficient loading, unloading, and delivery of products while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Load and unload products for metro and regional deliveries, ensuring correct stock rotation and allocation of shelf life in preparation for delivery runs.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure timely dispatch of goods and respond rapidly to customer needs.
  • Ensure correct and accurate documentation is provided with loads and perform administrative duties.
  • Undertake dock housekeeping duties and cull/remove broken crates and faulty dollies.
  • Receive after-hours deliveries and participate in general warehouse housekeeping at all times.
  • Demonstrate and promote satisfactory food safety, quality, and hygiene standards alongside Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) safe work practices.
  • Drive and support HACCP and GMP in consultation with the team, utilize handheld equipment appropriately, ensure the vehicle is bulk-loaded according to the ‘Run Totals,’ and deliver products on time.
  • Pick up and return all available empty crates and dollies from customers while developing strong business relationships
