In medical practice since 1919, Wolfe Eye Clinic is a multi-specialty clinic providing vision care services throughout Iowa. At Wolfe Eye Clinic, we create Better Vision for a Better Life. We are currently hiring for a Full-time Doctor Assistant based out of our Cedar Falls Clinic. Duties and Responsibilities: Room patients and obtain medical histories. Assist the physician during clinic. Document into the electronic medical record. Provide patient education. Counsel patients on cataract and refractive procedures. Complete prior authorizations for procedures. Schedule or reschedule clinic and surgical appointments. Triage calls and respond to tasks. Assist in LASIK and minor procedures. Travel to other offices as needed. Perform other clinical duties as needed. Qualifications include: Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced clinic. Ability to effectively enter information into a variety of computer programs. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to provide excellent patient service. Preferred (but not required) qualifications are: Previous experience in a medical office.
