The university is looking for a responsible, motivated and committed person for the hub science project “Psychology of Transformation towards Sustainability” to fill the position of a

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completed or nearly completed master’s degree or equivalent in psychology or a related subject
  • Interest in science communication and the transformation towards sustainable behavior
  • Previous experiences in science communication are an asset but not a requirement
  • Ideally, experience in interdisciplinary contexts
  • Ability to program online surveys and lab experiments
  • Ability to analyze data in R and other statistical software (e.g., SPSS) and willingness to expand your initial experiences
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (having an at least basic command of German is an advantage)
  • Strong personal initiative, excellent organizational and analytical-critical skills, and ability to work in interdisciplinary and multicultural teams
Responsibilities
  • Write a doctoral dissertation in the field of Psychology on the topic of science communication
  • Plan, program, and analyze online and laboratory experiments
  • Contribute to the common objective of “Embracing Transformation” by analyzing transformation processes and generating transformation knowledge
  • Contribute to the development of psychology as a hub science and to drafting major follow-up funding applications
  • Advance your own academic career, preparing for e.g. a postdoc position
  • Participate in and co-organize regular meetings, workshops and conferences
  • Contribute to teaching on the topics of the hub science project (amounting to 1 German SWS = 0.75 hours regular teaching time per week during the term)
