As a US manufacturer of connectors and cables, Switchcraft/Conxall continues to grow by releasing innovative new products and working directly with OEM design engineers to solve their biggest connectivity challenges.   Location: Villa Park, IL FULLY ON SITE: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4pm Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 Annual   We are currently looking for a CAD Manager to manage the CAD and Document Control groups; prioritizes incoming design projects provided by Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing; oversees daily workflow of projects within department; provides solutions to related topics.   Duties/Responsibilities: * Reviews incoming Sales Development Projects (DORs) and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) * Assigns projects to CAD Designers for drawing creation and/or revision change * Reviews and approves drawings to ensure Conxall drawings meet customers’ requirements and manufacturing standards * Assigning new part numbers for Standard Product according to Conxall logic coding * Responsible for new part number entry with associated BOM’s into system working with document control specialist * Assists Sales with customer questions regarding Conxall product * Assists with Manufacturing with product/design/BOM related questions * Prioritizes projects and oversees daily workflow of the department * Provides solutions to employees with design-related questions * Responsible for new engineering hires and training of new engineering staff members * Provides annual performance evaluations with employees     Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities: * Must be familiar with MS Office software * Must be able to use CAD software, SolidWorks * Must know drawing layout standards * Must be able to learn product, design procedures, and operating system * Strong communication skills and leadership skills   Education and Experience: * Must have Engineering background * Previous experience as a manager preferred * Degree of Bachelor of Science in Engineering is a plus * Knowledge of electronic connectors and associated product is beneficial   Benefits Paid Time Off Holidays Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Short Term/Long Term Disability Commuter benefits Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) Health Savings Account (HSA) 401k  Referral Program Parental Leave Healthy Rewards     EOE M/F/Disabled/Vet This company is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions without regard to race, gender, disability or protected veteran status.
