W-Industries is currently searching for a team oriented, highly motivated individual with experience in a high-volume and deadline driven environment as a Document Control Specialist to work at our Gears Rd. location in North Houston. The ideal candidate is going to have 1+ years of experience managing and tracking company documents. Requirements Takes responsibility for all document and data management aspects of projects. Store, manage, scan, image, organize and maintain documents adhering to the W-Industries document life-cycle procedures. Assure documents submitted to document control are appropriately named, numbered, etc. Archive completed records in accordance with the records retention schedule. Prepare & transmit documents generated by the engineering staff to the customer via project specific channels on a day to day basis. Ensure company records management and retention policies are followed. Regularly communicate with internal and external business partners. Detailed orientated. Ability to prioritize, manage time well, multitask and troubleshoot. Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking. Some lifting (up to 30 lbs.). Long hours on computer keyboard.
