Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Document Controller to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Document Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our organization’s documentation systems, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with company standards.

  • Develop and maintain document control systems, including naming conventions and filing structures for easy information retrieval
  • Ensure timely updates and changes to documents to meet set deadlines
  • Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to manage document edits and approvals
  • Track and maintain accurate records of all documents within the organization
  • Implement and follow company quality assurance program procedures
  • Conduct regular audits of the document management system to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
  • Collaborate with project managers to establish document control procedures for specific projects
  • Manage the archiving process for outdated or completed project documentation
  • Prepare and distribute copies of documents to appropriate personnel
  • Provide training to team members on document control procedures and best practices
  • Generate regular reports on document control activities and system performance for management review
  • Assist in the implementation of new document management technologies and software as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years of overall experience in document control, with at least 3 years of experience in the UAE
  • Diploma in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field
  • Proficiency in document management systems and databases
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and SharePoint
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in conducting system audits and preparing compliance reports
  • Knowledge of industry-standard document control practices and procedures
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Adaptability to new technologies and software related to document management
