Job Summary Al Marwan Developments is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Document Controller to manage, track, and control all project-related documentation within the Projects/Project Administration division. The role requires strong experience in UAE construction documentation, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to work with multiple project teams to ensure timely and accurate document flow. Key Responsibilities The key duties and responsibilities of the Document Controller include, but are not limited to: Maintain and update the Master Document Register (MDR) for drawings, RFIs, submittals, and all project documentation. Manage and administer EDMS platforms such as Google Drive, Aconex, Procore, or similar systems for document distribution and tracking. Ensure all documents comply with project standards for formatting, numbering, and version control. Distribute updated “Issued for Construction” (IFC) drawings and documents to site teams and subcontractors. Track document submissions, approvals, and revisions to ensure compliance with project workflows. Coordinate preparation and final handover of “As-Built” documentation packages to clients. Maintain organized digital and physical archives for easy retrieval and audit readiness. Support project teams with document-related queries and administrative tasks as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in document control within the UAE construction industry. Strong hands-on experience with Aconex and Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.). Knowledge of local authority requirements and documentation standards (e.g., Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi authorities). Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict submission deadlines. Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders. Preferred: Immediate joiners.
Responsibilities
The Document Controller will be responsible for maintaining and updating the Master Document Register for all project documentation, including drawings and RFIs. Key duties involve managing EDMS platforms, ensuring document compliance, distributing updated IFC drawings, and coordinating the handover of As-Built packages.
