Description:
Wood is currently recruiting a Junior Document Controller to work in our St. John’s office on large scale brownfield offshore oil and gas projects.
- Supporting engineering projects through the management of project documentation
- Ensuring that the document control function is being performed in accordance with corporate procedures and project requirements in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensuring project schedules and client approved budgets are managed and met
- Communicating effectively with the appropriate engineering disciplines including providing ongoing updates on status of work
- Ensuring required filing and archiving of technical documents is done in a timely manner
- Storing, securing, revising, retrieving, distributing, and archiving electronic and hard copy documents
- Adhering to all HSEQ requirements within Document Control in accordance with Wood procedures and management systems
- Assist with processing technical documentation for the core projects
- Diploma from a post-secondary institution
- Familiarization with Document Management systems
- Ability to work independently, as well as within a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Familiarization with Document Management systems
