Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Controller with experience in the UAE contracting industry to manage, track, and archive all project-related documents in accordance with company procedures and project requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of construction documentation, contract administration, and familiarity with UAE regulatory standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Document Controller in a UAE-based contracting company.
  • Proficiency in document control systems such as Aconex, EDMS, Procore, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with construction workflows, technical submittals, and contractual documents.
  • Good understanding of UAE regulatory documentation standards and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and manage all incoming and outgoing project documentation, including drawings, submittals, RFIs, contracts, and reports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely control of documentation in both electronic and hard copy formats.
  • Assign document numbers, track revisions, and maintain document logs.
  • Coordinate with project engineers, site staff, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth document flow.
  • Implement and maintain the Document Control Procedure in accordance with company and project standards.
  • Distribute documents to relevant stakeholders and ensure acknowledgment of receipt.
  • Archive historical records and maintain updated document filing systems.
  • Ensure compliance with document management requirements of the client, consultants, and UAE authorities (e.g., DDA, ADM, Dubai Municipality).
  • Support QA/QC and project teams with documentation for audits, inspections, and handover.
  • Train and support site staff on document control protocols when required.
